With a height of 106 meters (350 feet) the building soars towards the sky with much elegance and finesse.
It marked the beginning of the modernism in Egypt.
This skyscraper was called the Sabet Sabet Building (Thabet-Thabet) after its first owner.
It was also nicknamed Belmont Building, because of a billboard installed on the building’s roof.

Special foundations were necessary to ensure the stability the skyscraper’s foundation.
They consist of piles made of special reinforced concrete poured vertically into the ground to a depth of more than 25 meters (82 feet) to reach the bedrock and rest on it.
